These standard terms of service are for the use of a website targeted at users in the UK. They are also sometimes known as online or website terms of use or website terms and conditions. If the service allows users to interact with one another (user-to-user (U2U)), the following additional clauses must be used in addition to these terms: Standard clause, Website terms of service: user-to-user service (UK). If the website is likely to be accessed by children, it is likely that adaptations will need to be made to the way these terms are drafted (see Practice note, Website terms of service: drafting for children (UK)). These terms are not suitable without adaptation for a search service allowing a person to search more than one website or database, or for a service "categorised" under the Online Safety Act 2023.
